Time flies! Tomorrow is the day of our event "Breakfast on the Danube". All our teams made great efforts. Today we want to present you the remaining teams in out countdown that we did not introduce you yet.

The team mediadesign was responsible for the logo development and the advertising material. This team designed flyers and posters, which you can see all over Ulm. We also owe this team our event name "Breakfast on the Danube". They created a long list with proposals for the name of our event and in the end they decided for this term.

The team ambient design will create the "look and feel" of the event. They even built a 3D model of the bridge to better simulate the 10th of july. So be surpised how the Herdbrücke will look like tomorrow!

The team project management cooridinates the communication between ILEU and the students and also the communication among the student groups. We are over 60 students and work together on one project. This is really complicated!

Last but not least: our documentation team. Julia, Isa and Katrin will make a movie about the event to collect all the moments and make the event being kept in mind. So be curious about their result.

Die Zeit vergeht wie im Flug! Morgen ist es soweit. Unser "Donaubrückenfrühstück" findet statt. All unsere Teams haben tolles geleistet. Heute präsentieren wir euch in unserem Countdown die übrigen Teams.

Das Team Mediendesign war für die Logoentwicklung und das Werbematerial zuständig. Das Team hat Flyer und Poster desgned, die Sie überall in Ulm sehen können. Außerdem verdanken wir diesem Team unseren Eventnamen "Donaubrückenfrühstück". Nachdem unsere Komilitonen eine lange Liste mit Namensvorschlägen für das Event entworfen haben, haben sie sich schließlich für diesen Namen entschieden.

Das Team Ambientdesign wird das "look and feel" des Events kreieren. Die Mitglieder dieses Teams haben sogar ein 3D Model der Brücke erstellt, um den 10. Juli besser simulieren zu können. Also seien Sie überrascht, wie die Herdbrücke morgen aussehen wird!

Das Team Projektmanagement koordiniert die Kommunikation zwischen ILEU und den Studenten und auch unter den Teams. Wir sind mehr als 60 Studenten, da kann die Kommunikation schon mal schwierig werden!

Last but not least: unser Dokumentationsteam. Julia, Isa und Katrin werden einen Film über das Event drehen und so alle Momente sammeln um das Event in Erinnerung behalten zu können. Seien Sie gespannt auf die Ergebnisse!

Only one week left till our breakfast on the Danube, the International Danube Festival already started!

Today, next in our line of team presentations is the PR & Social Media Team, which we also are part of. Our task was to promote the event on various channels.

We devided into six teams:
Team Newspaper contacted several lokal and regional newspapers to get them hooked on our project. They wrote articles and provided information for the jounalists, so they could write something themselves, too.
Team Radio and Team TV did the same with regional radio- /TV stations and recorded four sessions for different senders to promote the event.
Another group was responsibile for keeping the Tastes of Danube Facebookpage updated, of course we provided content for Danubelicious and some people created an Instagram account to promote the event on another social media channel.

All in all, we tried to spread the event on as many platforms as possible and we were quite succesful with getting attention.

Next week you will get to know another team before our event will finally take place.




Nur noch eine Woche bis zum Donaubrückenfrühstück, das Internationale Donaufest hat schon begonnen!

Die Nächsten in der Reihe der Präsentationen unserer Arbeitsgruppen ist das PR & Social Media Team, wozu auch wir gehören. Unsere Aufgabe war es, das Event auf verschiedenen Wegen und Plattformen zu promoten und bekannt zu machen.

Dafür haben wir uns in sechs Gruppen aufgeteilt:
Das Zeitungsteam hat verschiedene lokale und regionale Zeitungsredaktionen kontaktiert und versucht, für unser Projekt zu begeistern. Sie haben Artikel geschrieben und den Journalisten Informationen zur Verfügung gestellt, damit diese gegebenenfalls selbst etwas schreiben konnten.
Team Radio und Team TV haben das Selbe mit regionalen Sendern getan und auch mehrere Sendungen aufzeichnen können.
Eine weitere Gruppe war verantwortlich für das Führen der Facebookseite Tastes of Danube, wir haben natürlich Danubelicious mit Inhalt gefüllt und andere haben einen Instagramaccount erstellt, um das event auf mehreren Social Media Plattformen vertreten zu können.

Insgesamt haben wir versucht so viel Aufmerksamkeit wie möglich zu bekommen, womit wir durchaus auch erfolgreich waren.

Nächste Woche werden wir ein weiteres Team vorstellen, bevor dann am Sonntag endlich das Donaubrückenfrühstück stattfinden wird.

Today we want to present you Mrs. Stadelhofer. Who is she and what does she have to do with our event? We asked her and are pleased to show you our interview.

Louisa: Who are you and what do you have to do with our event on the 10th of july?

Mrs. Stadelhofer: My name is Carmen Stadelhofer, I am the chairman of the institute for virtual and real lerning at the University of Ulm (ILEU) and of the international association "Danube Networkers for Europe" (DANET). In the role of the chairman of DANET I am also the coordinator of the international project "Tastes of Danube: Bread, Wine, Herbs". At this project civil societal organisations, universities and schools from 12 danube countries colaborate. Our event, the "Breakfast on the Danube" is the cetral part of the international project. The target is to connect people from Ulm and Neu-Ulm with our partners from the Danube countries and create a direct contact.

Louisa: When did the project "Tastes of Danube" start? Have there been actions before the "Breakfast on the Danube"?

Mrs. Stadelhofer: One project was "Danube - Bread on tour". We sent a paste on a journey, by bike, by train, by plane and many more means of transport. When the paste arrives in a country, the people there seperate it in parts and pass it to other people. It has arrived in nearly all the danubian countries now. We also hope that this way, we can reach many people. Another project is our photo contest, the price will be lend at our event at the 10th of july. You can still participate! Louisa: Sounds interesting! The place of our event is the Herdbrücke. Did you choose this location for a reason?

Mrs. Stadelhofer: Yes, it is the perfect place. It is above the Danube and connects Ulm and Neu-Ulm and also Bavaria and Baden-Würtemberg. From this place the Danube flows through all danube countries until the black sea.

Louisa: How many guests do you expact at the "Breakfast on the Danube"?

Mrs. Stadelhofer: This will be a surprise. It will also depend on the weather. The guests from the conference will come, that will be approximately 120. Many people from Ulm and Neu-Ulm will come and some will be only curious, because this event is something new. You have the opportunity to get to know people from different countries.


Louisa: Wer sind Sie und was haben Sie mit unserem Event am 10. Juli zu tun?

Frau Stadelhofer: Mein Name ist Carmen Stadelhofer, ich bin  Vorsitzende internationalen Vereins ‚Danube Networkers for Europe‘ (DANET) und  des Instituts für virtuelles und reales Lernen an der Universität Ulm (ILEU ). In dieser Funktion bin ich auch Gesamtkoordinatorin des internationalen Projektes ‚Tastes  of Danube: Bread, Wine, Herbs‘, bei dem zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen, Hochschulen und Schulen aus 12 Donauländern mitarbeiten. Unser Event, das Donau-Brücken-Frühstück ist ein zentraler Teil dieses internationalen Projektes, es hat zum Ziel , Bürger und Bürgerinnen aus dem Großraum Ulm/ Neu-Ulm mit unseren Partnern aus den Donauländern in einen direkten Kontakt zu bringen. 

Louisa: Wann hat das Projekt "Tastes of Danube" gestartet? Was gab es schon für Aktionen neben dem "Donaubrückenfrühstück"?

It’s time. Just three weeks left till our breakfast on the Danube and the preparations are running on full speed. As a countdown, we thought we might introduce you to some of our project teams and their tasks.

Let's start with the sponsoring team:

For an event like the breakfast on the Danube we needed money. Not just the food and the drinks, but also the journey and accommodation of guests were supposed to be funded by various sponsors.
To find these, the members of the sponsoring team contacted several companies around Ulm and Neu-Ulm to convince them of our project.

Furthermore, they created a campaign on betterplace.org, where everyone can help funding the event by giving as much money as they like. Another way to give money to the project is via the facebook page of Tastes of Danube. 

We appreciate every kind of support and are looking forward to the event!


Es ist soweit. Bis zu unserem Donaubrückenfrühstück sind es nur noch drei Wochen und die Vorbereitungen laufen auf Hochtouren. Wir haben uns überlegt, Ihnen als kleinen Countdown unsere verschiedenen Teams und deren Aufgaben genauer vorzustellen.

Den Anfang macht das Sponsoring-Team:

Natürlich benötigt man für die Durchführung von einem Event wie dem Donaubrückenfrühstück, auch Geld. Nicht nur das Essen und die Getränke, sondern auch die Anreise und Unterkunft verschiedener Gäste, sollte von Sponsoren finanziert werden.
Um diese zu finden, haben die Mitglieder der Sponsoringgruppe mehrere Unternehmen in Ulm und Neu-Ulm kontaktiert und versucht, sie von unserem Projekt zu überzeugen.

Außerdem haben sie eine Kampagne auf betterplace.org  gestartet, auf der jeder, der möchte, Geld für unser Projekt spenden kann.  Alternativ kann man auch direkt über unsere Facebookseite für unser Projekt spenden.

There are only a few weeks left until our event "Breakfast on the Danube"! We are looking forward to meet our international guests. To help them financing their journey and accomodation, Tastes of Danube organised a selling event.

In the Project "The wanted Danube" the bordering countries of the Danube sewed squarish pieces made of crocheted wool thread together. This so called "Danubepieces" will bei sold for 5€ per piece on Saturday. And all this for a good cause. The women of the "Ulmer Frauenring" will also give proposals, what you can made of the pieces. like for example bags.

Come and visit us on saturday and take your Donaupiece!



Es sind nur noch wenige Wochen bis zu unserem "Donaubrückenfrühstück" am 10. Juli! Wir freuen uns sehr auf viele internationale Gäste. Um ihnen die Anreise und Unterkunft mitfinanzieren zu können, veranstaltet Tastes of Danube kommenden Samstag eine Verkaufsaktion.


Im Projekt "Die gewollte Donau" wurden in vielen der zehn Anreinerstaaten der Donau quadratförmige Flecken aus gehäkelten Wollfäden zusammen genäht. Diese sogenannten "Donauflecken" werden am Samstag für 5€ pro Stück  für den guten Zweck verkauft. Die Damen des Ulmer Frauenrings werden unter anderem auch Anregungen geben, wie man die Teile der Donauflecken weiterverarbeiten kann, zum Beispiel zu Taschen.
