The taste of bread - pupils become poets

In Romania, a project on the topic “Tastes of Danube. Bread, Wine and Herbs” was carried out with the help of the school nr 25 in Timisoara. The pupils have written poems around the topic „The taste of bread“.
Regarding the project „Tastes of Danube“, the Association „the Writers` League“ Timisoara Banat Branch, through the member Ana-Cristina Popescu, realized an national anthology around the topic „The taste of bread“.
The decision to make this anthology was taken immediately at the end oft he literary meeting of The Writers` League, in octuber 2015. Ana-Cristina Popescu is a teacher. Follwing she has the idea, that her students could contribute something tot he project „The taste of Bread“, with their literary creations and poems.
Later, Ana-Cristina Popescu would like to summarize all the literary achievements around the topic „The taste of Bread“, from writers and teachers around the country, to an anthology.
The launching of the anthology was at the 3. December 2015 in Timisoara, in the presence of Carmen Stadelhofer, president of Danube-Networkers for Europe (DANET) e.V. and more than 50 participants from seven organizations from Timisoara and Banat, the anthology was presented.
The Association „The Writers` League“ Timisoara Banat Branch like the idea of this anthology. And so they made a call for an international anthology in the frame of the project.
„In the frame of the European project “Tastes of Danube. Bread, Wine and Herbs”, the Association The Writers` League Timisoara Banat Branch will edit an International Anthology and invites you to participate.
The interested persons will send materials about bread in the Danube Region: 1-2 poems or text in the national language and English. Also, the materials will be accompanied by a color photo and the details: name, age, city, country, at the address anazlibut@yahoo.com.
The anthology will be coordinated by Ana Zlibut and Doina Dragan.
We are looking forward to receive the poems and essays“.
