Who is Mrs. Stadelhofer?

Today we want to present you Mrs. Stadelhofer. Who is she and what does she have to do with our event? We asked her and are pleased to show you our interview.

Louisa: Who are you and what do you have to do with our event on the 10th of july?

Mrs. Stadelhofer: My name is Carmen Stadelhofer, I am the chairman of the institute for virtual and real lerning at the University of Ulm (ILEU) and of the international association "Danube Networkers for Europe" (DANET). In the role of the chairman of DANET I am also the coordinator of the international project "Tastes of Danube: Bread, Wine, Herbs". At this project civil societal organisations, universities and schools from 12 danube countries colaborate. Our event, the "Breakfast on the Danube" is the cetral part of the international project. The target is to connect people from Ulm and Neu-Ulm with our partners from the Danube countries and create a direct contact.

Louisa: When did the project "Tastes of Danube" start? Have there been actions before the "Breakfast on the Danube"?

Mrs. Stadelhofer: One project was "Danube - Bread on tour". We sent a paste on a journey, by bike, by train, by plane and many more means of transport. When the paste arrives in a country, the people there seperate it in parts and pass it to other people. It has arrived in nearly all the danubian countries now. We also hope that this way, we can reach many people. Another project is our photo contest, the price will be lend at our event at the 10th of july. You can still participate! Louisa: Sounds interesting! The place of our event is the Herdbrücke. Did you choose this location for a reason?

Mrs. Stadelhofer: Yes, it is the perfect place. It is above the Danube and connects Ulm and Neu-Ulm and also Bavaria and Baden-Würtemberg. From this place the Danube flows through all danube countries until the black sea.

Louisa: How many guests do you expact at the "Breakfast on the Danube"?

Mrs. Stadelhofer: This will be a surprise. It will also depend on the weather. The guests from the conference will come, that will be approximately 120. Many people from Ulm and Neu-Ulm will come and some will be only curious, because this event is something new. You have the opportunity to get to know people from different countries.

Louisa: Wer sind Sie und was haben Sie mit unserem Event am 10. Juli zu tun?

Frau Stadelhofer: Mein Name ist Carmen Stadelhofer, ich bin Vorsitzende internationalen Vereins ‚Danube Networkers for Europe‘ (DANET) und des Instituts für virtuelles und reales Lernen an der Universität Ulm (ILEU ). In dieser Funktion bin ich auch Gesamtkoordinatorin des internationalen Projektes ‚Tastes of Danube: Bread, Wine, Herbs‘, bei dem zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen, Hochschulen und Schulen aus 12 Donauländern mitarbeiten. Unser Event, das Donau-Brücken-Frühstück ist ein zentraler Teil dieses internationalen Projektes, es hat zum Ziel , Bürger und Bürgerinnen aus dem Großraum Ulm/ Neu-Ulm mit unseren Partnern aus den Donauländern in einen direkten Kontakt zu bringen.

Louisa: Wann hat das Projekt "Tastes of Danube" gestartet? Was gab es schon für Aktionen neben dem "Donaubrückenfrühstück"?

Frau Stadelhofer: Ein Projekt auf internationaler Ebene stellt die Aktion ‚Danube -Bread on Tour‘,- ‚Donaubrot auf Reisen‘ dar. Wir haben einen Urteig, der in Ulm erstellt wurde, auf Reisen geschickt, mit dem Fahrrad, der Bahn, dem Flugzeug und sonstigen Verkehrsmitteln. Er ist nun bereits in fast allen Ländern angekommen, wird dort vor Ort immer wieder geteilt und weitergegeben. Wir hoffen, auch über diese Aktion viele Menschen zu erreichen. Wir haben einen Fotowettbewerb ausgeschrieben, zum Thema Brot, Wein und Kräuter und werten gerade die eingereichten Bilder aus. Die Auslobung findet bei der Konferenz im Juli statt. Louisa: Klingt interessant! Der Ort unseres Events ist die Herdbrücke. Haben Sie sich diese Location gezielt als Veranstaltungsort ausgesucht?

Frau Stadelhofer: Die Herdbrücke bietet sich als Ort für das Donaubrückenfrühstück besonders gut an, denn sie führt über die Donau und verbindet Ulm und Neu-Ulm und auch Bayern und Baden-Würtemberg. Die Donau fließt von hier in alle anderen Länder bis zum schwarzen Meer.

Louisa: Wie viele Gäste erwarten Sie zum Donaubrückenfrühstück?

Frau Stadelhofer: Wir lassen uns überraschen, wie viele Gäste zu dem Donaufest kommen, das ist sicher auch wetterabhängig. Wir gehen aber davon aus, dass neben den Gästen die zu unserer Konferenz kommen, das sind ca. 120 Leute. Sehr viele Bürger und Bürgerinnen aus Ulm und Neu-Ulm und drum herum werden auch teilnehmen, Menschen, die einfach neugierig sind, weil die Veranstaltung etwas ganz Neues ist und man die Gelegenheit hat, Menschen aus den anderen Ländern direkt zu begegnen.
